The April Meeting 2003 of the American Physical Society will meet in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel. Discount AirfaresAPS has contracted with our travel agent, Diplomat Travel Services, to obtain discounted airfares for travel to Philadelphia. Diplomat Travel Services provides personal and efficient service, and is committed to getting you the lowest available fare regardless of the airline you use. Look for the Diplomat airline reservation form, which will be available here on November 1. Note: APS offers e-mail access to attendees as a service. We cannot provide unlimited access to e-mail stations, both in terms of the number of e-mail stations available for use and the time they are available. Audio-Visual EquipmentAll rooms will be equipped with an LCD projector, overhead projector, screen, lavalier microphone, and pointer. If you plan on doing a PowerPoint presentation, please bring your program on your own laptop computer, and be sure to visit the Speaker Ready Room to run through your presentation to ensure that it goes smoothly. (We recommend that you also bring your presentation on vugraphs as a back-up to your computer presentation). When you arrive at the session in which you are speaking, if you are using the LCD projector, please have your loptop turned on and ready to go. Please use the A-V order form to order any additional equipment. A-V can also be ordered on-site at the meeting directly through the A-V company. Please do not send A-V orders to APS. Satellite MeetingsIf your group or organization wishes to hold a meeting during the April Meeting, please contact Terri Gaier at gaier@aps.org. Deadline for requests for space for satellite meetings is February 28. Don't delay in making your request - space in the hotel is limited. On-line Personal Meeting SchedulerAttendees planning to attend the April Meeting can pre-plan their schedules by using the "shopping cart" feature of the electronic web program. This service allows the attendee to view the program, select the sessions and talks desired, deposit this information in a personal meeting schedule, and then print out the schedule. The electronic program will be posted to the web in February and the scheduler feature will also be available for use at that time. APS April Meeting Job Fair
